Our GATE students visited the UofA for an exciting hands-on experience in the Neuroscience Laboratory! Our students worked with PhD students, one of whom is working on their dissertation on curing cancer. Students got to observe and work on a project with fruit flies that could induce dizziness and trigger seizure-like behaviors in a controlled, safe environment.

The Doolen library is a spacious, welcoming environment designed to spark curiosity and conversation. Year-round artwork and educational materials from the Educational Materials Center (EMC) create an engaging atmosphere, while the generous space provides a quiet, comfortable place to study. Personal touches – like plants from home and the beloved library fish, Peppermint – make the library feel warm and inviting for students and staff alike!
